Dress Code

Admit it or not, we all hate dress codes. Well, as for me, I hate the fact that I can’t wear shorts inside our school, and I can’t wear my sleeveless shirts on a hot school day. We are all haters of the guards who do not let us enter the gates of our universities because we might be wearing clothes that are too revealing, short, or inappropriate.

At these ranting times, I might as well hate the fact that the universities do not understand the fashion statements of the students. Too judgmental, perhaps? But I wish all schools were like UP, that they let the students wear whatever and they wouldn’t care because school is about education.

But really, we are supposed to be studying in school, and we should probably focus on the school stuff… And be fashionable, by abiding by the rules. We should respect what the university wants, and at the same time… Be our own selves.

Here are some shots that I took with Pickled and Peppered’s newest set of clothes for the girls! I personally got this and styled it for a come back shoot with my lovely muse, LA Subido. Take note, these photos were taken inside Ateneo de Davao University… Good thing the guards did not catch us.

School girls with strict dress codes, might as well prepare a cardigan and pure black leggings for you might need it to cover the unwanted parts be seen by the guards of your university! And, school girls without dress codes… Time to give the “I-don’t-give-a-fcuk-I’m-wearing-this-to-school” look!

We Are The Wild Things

We are the wild things. We are the epitome of trial and error. We live to make mistakes and learn from them. We are fearless. We are undeniable. We are the youth that sets the world on fire with burning passion.

We live to see the days where we can freely move, like the leaves on the autumn trees, we fly and reach places and settle down. We might die someday, but at least we knew we tried to let go of the zones that once comforted us with faith, love, and trust.

We are wild things.

For this set, I wanted to get back to my layouting skills by practicing again. All the photos I’ve uploaded have been plain and some kind of boring, with white borders and Helvetica fonts. This time, I want to experiment and layer the images I downloaded from my dashboard here in Tumblr. Good thing the theme of the shoot’s great. I laid my creative hands and fulfilled my wants of going back to my messy thoughts.

Thank you Adi for taking me with you in this shoot. Also, thank you for letting me style the set, with the help of the girls and you, of course. Thank you Pickled and Peppered for the clothes. Thank you Kat, Nat, Abi for being so fun during the 1hour shoot and 3hour preparation. (I love our blonde moments!)

Somewhere In Between

This is the second set of Pickled and Peppered’s Lookbook 2012.

Even if it’s all fake, a play, a misunderstood way of quick love, summer flings are the happiest part of every summer. Some flings never end, and some end too soon. Some wait for authentic love to endure, and some just go along and play forever.

Everyone wants something that they would have until the end. Why long for the end when the best things happen somewhere in between?

What’s your favorite part of summer?

Some days are supposed to be spent with someone meaningful enough for the worth that we will be exposing like air in a world of pollution.
